“Our fishing trip was a great success. The new and improved Kipapa made the experience all the more enjoyable, with extra space the boat provided the perfect setting for my very first Marlin, a stripey of about 180 lbs. With more space and a crew who’s skill mirrored the professionalism of the skipper, Kipapa made for an extremely comfortable and very exciting trip. As ever a fishing trip throws up many surprises and this was no exception. With a great variety of fish caught from Sailfish, to Marlin and their acrobatics to some exciting Tuna and feisty Dorado!

My highlight was catching a Sail on a 20 lb line, initially put out to reel in some bait fish, this sail tested my skill and with excellent instruction from Howard, the skipper, this particular fish gave me a serious run for my money – and a great fishing tale for me to recount through the long absences from these special waters off Kenya. Needless to say i have bored friends at great length about this trip and look forward to organising another and know that
there will be excitement every step of the way!
